Probably the majority of current AOLserver users were introduced to AOLserver through Philip Greenspun. Philip has made significant contributions to the AOLserver and Web Development communities. Most notably he wrote Philip and Alex's Guide to Web Publishing, designed and teaches MIT's first Software Engineering course on Web development, convinced AOL to take AOLserver Open Source, and founded ArsDigita--a Web consulting firm that gives public courses on Web development and maintains the ArsDigita Community System a sophisticated Open-Source toolkit for building community Websites.
- ACS
- ACS Documentation - Documentation for the ACS (I never seem to be able to find this when I need it).
- AD Server Architecture - The architecture ArsDigita uses to build reliable sites.
- AD Developers Style guide - This is good style advice for AOLserver development. I also recommend the Common Errors page.
Other AOLserver Pages:
- OpenACS - A port of ACS to PostgreSQL
- MarkD's page of fixing crashing AOLservers - Mark also has an interesting page on CVS.
