What Do I Need to Use SSL?

To use the export version of the SSL module, you will need the items listed below:

• A public and private key pair that you can generate by filling out a form. This key pair is used in configuring the SSL module.

• A VeriSign Digital ID certificate for your system. VeriSign is a Certification Authority (CA) specifically authorized to issue a digital certificate for use with SSL. CAs typically want you to prove your identity, verify your company name, and determine whether you have the legal right to use the information you provide.
