The following new features and functionality changes in configuration and the Setup Server are included in AOLserver Version 2.3
New [ns/mimetypes] and [ns/mimeicons] configuration file sections: These new configuration file sections allow you to have global settings for MIME types and MIME icons that can then be overridden by individual virtual servers in the previously-existing [ns/server/server-name/mimetypes] and [ns/server/server-name/mimeicons] sections.
New [ns/server/servername/module/nscache/tcl] configuration file section: This section configures the Tcl cache.
New EnableAdmin configuration parameter: This new parameter allows you to enable or disable Tcl evaluation. | Administrator's Guide: page 86 |
Enhanced FtpAllowChangeMode configuration parameter: This configuration parameter is now supported on the Linux platform. | Administrator's Guide: page 95 |
New FtpTmpDir configuration parameter: This parameter specifies the directory you want to be the FTP temporary directory. | Administrator's Guide: page 95 |
New GlobalInclude parameter: This parameter specifies whether Tcl in ADPs is to be evaluated locally or globally. | Administrator's Guide: page 78 |
New IgnoreErrors parameter: This parameter determines whether an ADP should continue processing if an error occurs or an error page should be returned. | Administrator's Guide: page 78 |
New LogQueryOnTclError configuration parameter: This parameter allows you to turn on or off the reporting of form data to the server log when there is an error. | Administrator's Guide: page 69 |
New MaxCallDepth configuration parameter: This parameter limits the number of nested ADP evaluations, which can lead to crashes. | Administrator's Guide: page 78 |
New QuotaSize configuration parameter: This parameter allows you to set a quota for the maximum size to which pageroot and its descendents may grow. | Administrator's Guide: page 69 |
New default for RollFmt configuration parameter: The default for the RollFmt parameter has been changed to specify a 4-digit year rather than a 2-digit year. | Administrator's Guide: page 98 |
New SkipLocks configuration parameter: This parameter allows you to turn off mutex locking in Tcl interpreters, which increases performance but also introduces some restrictions. | Administrator's Guide: page 59 |
New SmtpPort configuration parameter: This parameter allows you to specify an SMTP smarterhost. This can be used, for instance, to send mail through a firewall or a private/secured copy of sendmail running as a daemon on your local machine. | Administrator's Guide: page 59 |
New TrimData configuration parameter: This parameter allows you to have Sybase data trimmed from the right when using the Sybase external driver. | Administrator's Guide: page 114 |
